Texture, light and darkness are fundamental factors that not only make art more interesting and dynamic, but they create the entire mood of the piece. Although my art is generally more straight edged I think I may try to pursue a way to make at least one of my print series Utilize Filler and emulsion to create positive and negative images. I think this would be interesting to see my art with dark background and white lines, instead of the typical black lines on white paper.

Techniques like photo emulsion allow for a variety of methods of creating stencils for screen printing. Tracing is a great way to translate images in your own style and combine them with images from other sources.Photo copying also allows for experimentation with collage and layering images.

This reading expanded my knowledge on how many ways there are to make and use stencils for screen printing. I personally think the work with so many types of images transferred will be my best tool for now I can print everything from a photo I worked on to a tracing of coin.
